Great and very thoughtful list.
Yes, if those in the extended family do not pass on the need for civility and an aspiration to be a gentleman or gentlewoman throughout one’s life, then we will inherit incivility and rank selfishness. Oops. Not will but are inheriting the kind of barbaric behavior seen in the “third world”. With no grounding in what, for the most part, is (mainly) British and European derived culture and political traditions, our kids will have no benchmarks to judge the relative merits and/or deficiencies of “foreign” behaviors and cultures. Instead, they are told not to judge and that all cultures are equal.
We continue to express our dismay at the actions of the Obama government regarding its denial of the link between islam and the vast majority of terrorist attacks.
Why do we do this. Dismay has long run out for me. I know the score and its not going to change.
Great and very thoughtful list.
