It’s much more simple then what you say.
The subject here is not about holding “grudges”. It’s rather about ‘remembering’.
Remembering these atrocities, which the brutish side of man perpetrate’s on any man. If we keep these holocaust’s in our memory, it may be that the reasoning of a pure heart might enter into our minds. Which can cause and enable man, with the grace of God to know how evil mass murder or any single murder is.
It’s to know and remember that keeps this sort of savagery away from going onto every man’s steps.
