Islam just so perfectly fits into what the book of Genesis tells us will be the characteristics of Ishmael’s descendants (Arabs are not a race but an ethnicity which they themselves say is derived from Abraham). I remain so puzzled how non-Mideastern or non-Arab types buy into it at all (like the Indonesians, the largest Muslim adhering ethnicity). Seems that, on both sides of the human equation, perhaps our Creator is allowing a demonstration of how the void of sensible belief can be filled by the absolutely ridiculous, justified within mankind — on both sides — that we are so wise don’t ya just know.
