  1. Exactly! Yes, what about interior enforcement? (along with the effective sealing of the borders and ports of entry — like at airports.

What’s really amazing is the quantum increase in Information Technology (IT), capabilities/capacity and power of databases, and real-time access over the past few decades.

I recall paying a visit to an Army General who ran a huge personnel center in the 1980s. The center “managed” millions of Reservists. While in his office, be received a briefing from some IT folks working on a project to make records more easily and instantaneous accessed at every personnel managers desk. At the ned of the presentation, the General asked them: “Why is it I can call up my auto insurance company and they can instantly tell me what car I owned and insured with them 15 or 20 years ago, the VIN and everything?”

On a personal note, I changed my name a little over two decades ago. I don’t know how they did it, but my college Alumni Association contacted me using my new name at my current address to solicit contributions to the Alumni fund. No contact at all with the college since I graduated nearly 25 years earlier under my previous last name. Guess this government/state run college will spend whatever money is needed to get more money.

I agree with Newt Gingrich who said over 10 years ago that perhaps tracking immigrants needs to be contracted out to American Express or Mastercard. And why not pay sizeable “bounties” (a reward to average citizens) to make ICE’s job easier to get leads?

We can do it once we have leaders that quit shearing us — the citizens and legal immigrants — and pulling the wool over our eyes…incessantly…on so many things.
