I am curious where Mr. Laurie is getting his statistics on abortions in the Soviet Union. Six abortions per woman of child producing age seems incredibly high. Is there no access to birth control methods there? I won’t believe that statistic until I see a believable source for such data. As a Christian I am against abortions except in certain situations. However, there is more than just a handful of Christians and Jews who think that abortion is OK under most circumstances. This creates a problem when one equates abortions with godlessness. Are those people only fake believers in God or are they just refusing to deal with the commandment that says “thou shall not kill”? I don’t have the answer to that and I am not sure mr. Laurie does either.
This ridiculous hypothesis (Atheism=Killing) makes me very disappointed in the Glaznov Gang……..Most of my conservative friends (and I) am pro-choice, and consider that the evil of big brother government forcing a woman to have a child she doesn’t want is far worse than the killing of a fetus. Obviously the public is divided on this issue. Nuts like Barak Lurie make the Glaznov gang look really bad by promoting this argument and is an embarrassment. There is no point in refuting his arguments here since any open minded person can easily see the fallacies in his reasoning. If they can’t, they have a problem with being in touch with reality.
(1) Atheism kills.

Barak Lurie has written the most despicable book since “Mein Kampf” – and Jamie Glazov loves it!
In this new video, Lying Lurie once again demonstrates his shameless dishonesty while pursuing his vicious agenda, which is simply to endear himself to religious people by smearing atheism.
Atheism is simply the rejection of belief in God or gods, and includes absolutely nothing more. Atheism in no way tells an atheist what he should think or do about anything at all, having rejected belief in God. Atheism in no way tells an atheist that he should become a Bolshevik or Communist, or that he should favor ANY policy or course of action whatsoever. Atheism has absolutely no “tortured past” whatsoever regarding abortion, for the reason that atheism includes no opinion on abortion whatsoever. The Chinese Communists may be atheists, but atheism doesn’t tell or cause anybody to become a Communist. Rejecting belief in God has nothing to do with preferring any form of government or any policy or any course of action at all. Atheism also does not tell an atheist that “life is not important,” as Lying Lurie pretends, or that an atheist should only focus on the “common good.” Atheism includes no opinion at all on human life or human affairs. It is simply the rejection of belief in God or gods. It contains absolutely nothing more. Lurie surely KNOWS this perfectly well – but he PRETENDS otherwise, because it is only by pretending otherwise that he can smear atheism and thereby endear himself to religious people. That is why I call him Lying Lurie. He KNOWS he is serving up lies, one after the other – he just doesn’t care.
In fact there is simply no LIE too outrageous, too shameful, or too disgusting for Barak Lurie to embrace and shout from the hilltop, if only he can smear atheism with it. His favorite lie is also his most disgusting. He seeks to endear himself to Christians by telling the world that the fervently Christian Fuhrer Hitler and his Christian Nazis were actually atheists! How shameful. Hitler and his Nazis sent atheists to the concentration camps – along with everyone else who didn’t worship Jesus. Far from perpetrating the Holocaust, atheists were among the victims. Not even the most dishonest atheist in the world will ever be able to find a way to be any more dishonest than Barak Lurie, the utterly shameless Believer.
Hitler lived and died a Roman Catholic. The Pope could have easily excommunicated Hitler if he didn’t think Hitler was a good Christian. Far from ever doing so – even when Hitler was obviously being defeated – the Pope made deals with Hitler, and agreed to give Hitler veto power over Bishop appointments in Germany. For his part, Hitler told the churchmen:
“The National Socialist State professes its allegiance to positive Christianity. It will be its honest endeavor to protect both the great Christian Confessions in their rights, to secure them from interference with their doctrines, and in their duties to constitute a harmony with the views and the exigencies of the State of today.”

Here is the dear Christian Fuhrer bragging about “stamping out” atheism:
“We were convinced that the people needs and requires this faith [Christianity]. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out.”

Some atheist! In fact, Hitler was the ultimate Grand Inquisitor. He was determined to purge Germany of all and sundry who failed to worship Jesus. The Holocaust was simply Hitler’s Inquisition, in supposed “service” to Lord Jesus. Most of the victims were Jews, but many “Aryan” pagans and atheists were killed along with them.

Hitler throughout his life declared himself to be a Christian and a “soldier of the Lord.” He never made any secret of his anti-Semitism, and he was voted into power by a Christian populace. Here is a translated excerpt from one of his speeches:
“My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice… And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.”

In 1933, Hitler ESTABLISHED and became the leader of one of the largest Christian Church organizations in the world at the time. It was called the German Reich Christian Church. It united the various existing Protestant churches into in a single national German Christian church. Hitler certainly didn’t replace the pastors with “godless atheists.” The same old Christian pastors kept their jobs.
Barak Lurie’s shameless lie about Hitler and the Nazis is by no means his only one. He also claims that “atheism is a CORE PRINCIPLE of Communism” – even though the “Communist Manifesto” never even MENTIONS atheism in any way. In fact, Lurie’s whole disgusting book consists of one shameless lie after another.
Atheism is simply the rejection of belief in God or gods, and nothing more. There is NO tenet attached to atheism to the effect that an atheist should ever kill any person for any reason at all. The Old Testament is very different! It tells Believers to kill people for all sorts of amazingly petty reasons. See for yourself:

There is also no tenet attached to atheism to the effect that an atheist should become a Communist. Communist regimes have oppressed religion because churches were controlled by the “bourgeoisie,” and because the regimes were tototalitarian, and wanted to control all discussion and stifle all dissent. Therefore, it is absurd and dishonest to hold atheism responsible for the crimes and atrocities of Communist regimes. Atheism doesn’t tell or cause anybody ever to become a Communist at all.
Since Barak Lurie blames atheism for all the atrocities committed by the fervently Christian Hitler and his Christian Nazis, we have no reason to be surprised that he also blames atheism for all the atrocities committed in the name of Allah by devout Muslims – the most fervent Believers in God who ever lived!
Barak Lurie’s shameless dishonesty in spreading his appalling favorite lies, holding atheism responsible for the atrocities of Nazism, Communism, and even Islam, is a perfectly accurate indicator of his level of honesty in everything else he writes. As an example of complete and utter dishonesty and shamelessness, Barak Lurie’s despicable book deserves to be stored in the very same receptacle as “Mein Kampf.”
